June 2- A New Day, A New Doctor and A New Plan!

Well today was our trip to Chapel Hill and thanks to a great driver and many prayers we had a rainy but very safe trip up and back. I had very little trouble with my legs or back and was even able to make the walk from the parking deck and across the sky-walk with no problems. Dr.Dees and her intern reviewed all of my charts and labs, confirmed my medical information with me and came up with a plan that involves using a newer drug that attacks the tumor thereby preventing new tumors from forming. This drug will be combined with another drug as a booster. Results have show extended life as much as 26 months and the side effects have been very tolerable. The best part is that I can get the treatments at my regular doctors office (Dr.McNulty) so I won’t have to travel back and forth to Chapel Hill. I am scheduled to see my doc again on the 25th of this month and hopefully we will be able to start the new treatment then, unless he calls me to get started sooner. There has never been a moment when I didn’t trust God to see me through whatever he put in front of me, this is just more conformation that God is always working for his children, all we need to do is believe. Of course, the more time that God gives me the more he expects from me and I look forward to continuing the blog, sharing his word and his promises. I think of that saying “To whom much is given, much is expected.” God has given me so very much, way more than this imperfect human could ever be worthy of but I take it with gratitude and a humble heart.
Thank you to all the people that were praying for me, you can never know how much it means to me to be thought of and loved so much.

The prayers of a righteous man availeth much!
