In July of 2023, Park Avenue was blessed to have Tanner Thomas, his wife Felicity, and their daughter Jensen join with us as a vital part of our ministry team. Tanner will be interning under Pastor Robinette while he completes seminary and seeks God’s will concerning full-time ministry.
Tanner grew up in Asheboro, NC and came to Christ at an early age. He is a 2012 graduate of Faith Christian School in Ramseur, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies from Truett-McConnell University in 2016, where he was a star Cross-Country athlete. Following graduation from college, Tanner joined the United States Air Force where he served until 2023. For a brief period before entering the Air Force, Tanner became acquainted with the ministry of Park Avenue while his father was serving as an Army Recruiter in the Wilmington area. It was this acquaintance that would later open doors for ministry internship. Tanner is currently pursuing his seminary degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
While serving in the Air Force, Tanner met his wife, Felicity. Born in Georgia, Felicity grew up as a missionary kid in West Africa, where her family served the people of Guinea. A teacher, Felicity graduated from Wheaton College and has taught a variety of subjects including English and Art.
In 2019, Pastor Robinette and his wife Patti had the honor of traveling to Rapid City, SD, along with Felicity’s father Phil, to perform their wedding ceremony. Three years later they welcomed their daughter Jensen into the world.
Tanner is currently teaching in the 10 am Sunday service, as well as directing the College and Career Ministry. Felicity is involved in the Music Ministry and Jensen has jumped into our rapidly growing Nursery Ministry with both feet.
Pray for Tanner, Felicity, and Jensen as they train and seek God’s guidance through the ministry of the local church.
