Today confirmed what most of us already suspected, the cancer has spread to my knee and likely to the femur as well. Also discovered was a stress fracture caused by bone loss. Treatment will be limited to radiation as surgery is not an option due to the lyctic lesions. So what does all of this mean? No extreme sports for me!!! I am currently under orders to wear a mobility brace which keeps my knee from bending, not the most comfortable thing I’ve ever put on but it does decrease the pain. Thursday is chemo day and I’m hoping I can do radiation afterward so that trips to the other side of town are kept to a minimum. Thank you all for your continued prayers, without them I have no doubt this would be so much worse. It is important to focus on the positive and not let Satan beat us down with the trials God has set before us.
