August 28-Chemo and great sleep

The best part of chemo is the fact that I always sleep through the whole process, about 1 1/2 hours.  It truly is the best sleep I get all week.  Everything went as planned, and my radiation is due to start next Thursday, but I’m going to try and get in sooner.  Dr.M was discouraged by the results of my MRI, and I learned that there is nothing they can do about the stress fracture!  This upsets me more than having cancer because there are no options and it is very likely that the fracture will get worse causing who knows what kind of problems for me down the road.  The full length stability brace I am suppose to wear is impossible, the nurse at oncology today told me to buy a knee stability brace and wear it all of the time.  After treatment I went to Walmart and bought one, came home, put it on and it’s great!!!  I can walk without pain….yippie for modern devices and a nurse that cares and took the time to help me find an acceptable solution.

I am planning another trip to Myrtle Beach, this time with mama Judy, we are only going to stay 1 night so that I don’t overdo it and stress my poor mama out!  It is guaranteed to be a wonderful and fun time.  We will leave on the 8th of September and return on the 9th, so please be praying for me to have a pain free adventure, this trip is so important to me just to have some mama/daughter time.
