As most of you know I have been having a lot of pain with my knee so I made an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. My appointment book showed August 12 @2:40 and I was looking forward to finally getting some relief. This day also happened to be Bible Study day (chapter on the tongue) after which I did high lights and 2 cuts, getting done just in time to run 5 minutes down the road for my appointment. I was hurting but excited, relief was in sight! I go in, hand them my papers that were ready for processing, then I heard these words ” Mrs. Framilla, your appointment is NEXT Tuesday!!! Now what was I to do, what was I to say? I smiled sheepishly and said without skipping a beat ” I’m early”. at which point the receptionist and I both laughed. I had even shaved my legs so the doctor wouldn’t think my mama raised me wrong. So now I have to wait another week and try not to do too much damage to my knee between now and then. I share this with you for 2 reasons, first-no matter how your day goes remember that god has a plan. Who knows, maybe the doctor I would have seen was not the right doctor for me. And second-I think god must balance the scales so that we don’t get too cocky. A few days ago, due to my dear sons poor installation of a stove hood, our smooth top stove was shattered(the hood fell on the glass top) so we were without a stove. Unable to afford a new one and worried about the condition of a used one I put the word out. My step dad Raymond went to work at Plantation Village, told his boss about our situation and got us a brand new smooth top GE stove for 25.00!!!!! Rays good friend Jimmy installed and wired it for us and refused to take any money for his services. I had told my friends and family all along that God would provide what we needed and to just relax. God has NEVER let me down, I only wish that I could say the same of myself with respect to God. These and so many more are the reasons I have peace. SO the way I see it, God provided an affordable new stove and to keep me grounded allowed me a little embarrassment at the doctors office. For that I am grateful.
