December 25- Recognize your blessings then thank God for them.

This has been another busy week starting with hand surgery on Monday(it went well except for nurse Ratchet who needs to be schooled in I.V insertion) and radiation later that same day.
I have 4 more radiation treatments and this round will be over! This has been a year of learning and adjusting, praying and sometimes crying but through it all this has been a year of thankfulness. To end my year right my brother Rick and sister-n-law Carol drove from P.A to be with the family and as you know my sister Sheila is here from C.A after 18 years. Grandma Morris even made it down (thanks to my brother Brian and Ma) who drove to get her so she could be here as well (she didn’t know that Sheila was here!!) Gifts were exchanged and lots of yummy food was devoured, my 2 favorites are ma’s collards with rutabaga and sister Missy’s banana pudding!! Tons and I do mean tons of pictures were taken and as I had a moment to sit back and watch this crazy bunch of people I am reminded how incredibly blessed I am. How many people out there have to go through a life changing illness alone? or how often have hurtful words or the refusal to offer forgiveness separated family never to be reunited? Christmas is about our Savior but also about family so if you have been blessed to have a wonderful family (as I have) take a moment to thank our Savior and to nurture relationships with the ones you love. You can not forgive too often or love too much!!
